Have you heard of an athlete who took steroids to win? How did you feel when you were chosen last in a game because you were not as "good" as the others?
All of these events reflect our preoccupation with competition. But i have got a big question mark here: Why should we live in a "dog eat dog" world? Why not play "King of the Mountain" where everyone stands at the top? Or where everyone occupies the last chair in "Musical Chairs"? How about family members deciding together who does which household chores? What about businesses sharing information and resources? Just imagine the global benefits of nations working together and negotiating so everyone wins! Since that, why not we unlearn that kind of learned behavior?
Often competition in work and play results in arguments, hurt feelings, and separation. In work or play, people really want and need to feel safe, be open and honest, and above all feel trusted. Cooperative situations help create that atmosphere, because participants give encouragement and support of one another. As a result, this creates an atmosphere for relaxation and well-being - the foundation for more genuine, healthy, and playful fun.

I am Not Alone
The night, it is deserted
from the mountains to the sea.
But I, the one who rocks you,
I am not alone!
The sky, it is deserted
for the moon falls to the sea.
But I, the one who holds you,
I am not alone !
The world, it is deserted.
All flesh is sad you see.
But I, the one who hugs you,
I am not alone......

I just realised...
Time and tide wait for no man. I have to admit it. It's just one and a half months till year 2009.
Everything is just like lightning. One brilliant flash and it's gone. Seem so fake! But i can't be living in denial. I'm getting elder day by day. Now that I'm turning 16 very soon, I think I should be doing so much more than what I am doing now.
I just wish I'd know where to start. Anyway, I think I've grown up, not much, but definitely changed and more mature as time passes by.
Priorities have changed, a little attitude adjustment, but some things still remain.
Time moves on. So should we.
Words speak louder than actions, though.

Myself
Hello everybody! I would like to introduce myself to you all. I am a malaysian chinese, my name is Chin Wen Xin, aged 15. Well, I am actually a newbie in the world of blogging. This is the very first time in my life ever i posted my number one post here. Anywhere, do forgive me if i have done anything wrong or cause inconvenience to you.
But share with me, the respect due each individual who has braved this new world of pseudonymous exploration. When I started writing here, it was to make a point - that we have nothing to hide from each other. I still feel this strongly. As a species, we need clear communication between and amongst individuals. As individuals, we need to become more and more fully engaged in the understanding of what it is to be human, sentient, and free, some aspects of our birthright, and generally to learn from and successfully communicate these discoveries.
From now on, I will start off writing my blog about my personal feelings and thoughts from time to time. Time goes on here. Thanks!
Till then,
CWX
